I just want everyone to be very careful when buying a New Presidential Dollar Blank Planchat. There is no way to tell the difference between the Sacagawea Blank Planchat and the Presidential Dollar Blank Planchat. Here is a little statement made by the U.S. Mint on there web site:
"The United States is honoring our Nation’s presidents by issuing $1 circulating coins featuring their images in the order that they served, beginning with Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison in 2007. The United States Mint will mint and issue four Presidential $1 Coins per year, and each will have a reverse design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty. These coins will feature larger, more dramatic artwork, as well as edge-incused inscriptions of the year of minting or issuance, "E Pluribus Unum," "In God We Trust" and the mint mark. Although the size, weight and metal composition of the new Presidential $1 Coin will be identical to that of the Sacagawea Golden Dollar, there are several unique features that make this coin distinctive."
Pay very close attention to the part where they say:
"Although the size, weight and metal composition of the new Presidential $1 Coin will be identical to that of the Sacagawea Golden Dollar."
If you would like one of the Presidential Dollar Blank Planchat's make sure you know who and where you are buying the coin from. There are many people out there who will try to scam you out of your money.
A Sacagawea Dollar Blank Planchat is selling for around $100.00 to $125.00
A Presidential Dollar Blank Planchat has been selling for around $550.00 to $800.00
SO IN THE END NOBODY CAN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO COINS!
