Since eBay intends to change the Listing Page now is probably as good a time as any to get to know it. If you have not seen it yet you can view it by going to one of your auctions and clicking on to the TEST PAGE LINK at the top right of the page (Pic #1)
The first thing you will notice is the SUPER LARGE Title and Gallery picture (ok...that's a good start!) The pertinent info is less cluttered (that's what eBay is shooting for with it's new look) The one thing missing from this part of the page is a FAVORITE SELLER link. It's a good thing I have that on my Store Header, otherwise, it wouldn't be there at all. If you are a Seller...You might want to double-check your Store preferences to be sure that the link is included on YOUR header. One other thing...I change my Store Categories with some regularity in my Header (depending on what I have listed) and the Test Page is not updated with those. I SURE HOPE EBAY FIXES THAT!
You will notice the TABS above my Store Header (pic #2). This is the most important part of the new listing page. This is where eBay gets a little tricky...LOL By clicking on to each Tab you will see 3 different parts of the page below the Tabs.
DESCRIPTION - SHIPPING AND PAYMENTS
- RELATED ITEMS AND SERVICES -

Let's take each Tab one at a time here...
First you have the ITEM DESCRIPTION. If you have a wide screen monitor you will see the Description is sized down to fit a smaller screen. I had to wonder what that would do to a listing that had over-sized pictures...so I tried it and it still stretches like crazy. Man...I hate it when I have to scroll right to see the full listing and I have a feeling that is shared by many! Pictures should be no more than 500 pixels wide. You can re-size your pictures in eBay's STANDARD Mode in revise by clicking on the picture. You will see little boxes at the corners and middle edges. To resize the picture grab one of the corner boxes and pull the picture down to size. You may need to play with it a little to get the proportions right.
The next Tab is SHIPPING AND PAYMENTS. This is certainly less cluttered but I don't know why it can't be under the Description like it is on the Old Listing Page. I feel like my customers will lose site of what they are looking at (MY Auction) There is one thing to note...I have music on my Description Page and it is STILL playing even though you have clicked onto a different Tab. I find that intriguing because I want to remind my potential buyers that there is an item description even if they don't see it!
The Third Tab is RELATED ITEMS AND SERVICES. This is a Tab that eBay hasn't done much with yet. I can only hope that they don't decide a link to someone else's auctions is an appropriate link! Time will tell on this one.
Finally...you can always get back to the Item Description by clicking on to the DESCRIPTION Tab... I just hope that buyers won't get discouraged by the new clutter of multi-page listings...LOL
