Glenn confronted a scammer. The results were so bad Glenn had to give up Ebay.
Glenn had hundreds of successful ebay transactions and a 100% positive feedback. He listed an ATV and a Pontiac Firebird. Both sold but then it hit the fan. He was locked out of his account. He noticed many sales listed to his account including a re-listing of the items he had sold. He had been hi-jacked.
Glenn is one of these no nonsense Texans who decided to take matters into his own hands. Through the contact the seller ad feature he emailed the scammer and threatened to make their life miserable. They responded with oh yeah...watch this sucker.
They bid $250,000 to his account....including a $12,000 African safari. They then changed the password back to Glenns original and disappeared into cyberspace. Glenn found himself swamped with buyers that had paid for items and were demanding delivery...and sellers wanting to collect the $250,000. The mess was so deep Glenn threw in the towel and gave up Ebay entirely.
Should you find yourself in Glenns position..report the scammer to Ebay..to law enforcement..to the feds or anyone else that will listen that has the capacity to help, but never pick a fight with an unseen opponent...you will lose!
