I have owned 2 netgear wireless routers within this past year.
I read good reviews about their products on other websites & hence decided to purchase the first one which was a WGR 614 v5 which included the pc card for wireless to a laptop. This item worked well even after the frustration & horrid customer support of the NetGear Customer Service phone number. It was pretty fast & I had no complaints.
Well that was June, the wireless feature stopped working all of a sudden & after 5 calls to customer support & using their knowledge base until I was sick of reading I gave up. The company is stingy & will not exchange the router with a replacement to the customer even when there are obvious signs of a product defect (I am still under the warranty that covers that).
My recommendation is that you purchase another router that has at least decent customer support. Price should be the last factor in the overall reason for purchase.
