NEGATIVE FEEDBACK BY THE COMPETITION? What to look for.

I've seen this often since i been on ebay. People who just do it to hurt other 100% possitive feedback sellers who are competing with what you offer. I know I am there and feel abused. I was the first to sell Ardyss when the compnay started out 16 years ago I was on ebay 10 yrs and had one bad feedback from a new comer to Ardyss international. I did not know what to do back then so I quit ebay. This time around im not giving up so easy. I have had my share of pushing and shoving around as im sure all who associate with this situation  have been. I agree we need  Ebay feedbacks to show customers how we do bussiness and care for our customer, but the easy way in which other members are doing to get into ebay through second and third accounts with the only purpose, damaging other peoples reputation and do this over and over again I do not agree with.

Tips on what to look for

>Always read troublesome members feedback. If they have contacted you trying to get an off ebay sale and you refuse, chances are they will try it again.

  • Save all email pertaining offers and report them as you receive them.
  • Check for email address matches or details that give the identity of the member trying to disrupt the way you do business.

>This one member gave me bad feedback but made one mistake while doing so for example:

I was well maybe not lucky but fortunate: the member used the same email address for a previous dispute to pay for the disruptive bid, paid for it and hoped I would do business with her. I have a no sale on bidders with a -1 or lower. Ebay allowed this person with less than a -1 to continue with the transaction.  Instead I was nice emailed her and imediately after receiving payment refunded her money and explained the item was not available for sale because it had a listing mistake. In return she left me nasty negative feedback. I did some more searching and she has done this to other Ardyss sellers and is getting away with it, uses two names while she sits back and sells under another name she hurts peoples reputations with the second.

Well ebay has to protect the buyers but I also agree that ebay has to do something about the Sellers, we leave a lot of revenue while placing and selling Auctions on ebay. The work that involves setting up auctions and doing all the work to ensure customer satisfaction, maintaining a good reputation. Is disapointing to see someone just hurt you in a second, after all the hard work. We should have some say on whats posted on ebay and an imediate solution to the people who are hurting the honest buyer who is trying to make their mind on who or where to buy and the seller who is doing everything possible to maintain a solid background.

Helpful hints:

>Use your better judgement; when considering feedback left. Look at all the possibilities.

  • Ask questions to the buyer, don't be afraid to clear out concerns you may have and ask for a guarantee in writing if neccesary, that your item will arrive safely at your door step. Sellers are responsible for items shipped to you and if necessary provide you with insurance to keep your mind at ease.
  • Look at guarantee on a delicate or fragile item being shipped, those are important when making a purchase.

It may be the feedback left was not true and just intended to hurt that particular seller. As for my own items, Ardyss is a wonderful product and is sad to see another Ardyss representative trying to stop their competition miss-using  Ebay tools intended to help create a better seller/buyer enviroment.

>How do you go about researching a feedback?

View the coment on the buyer/s own feedback. Chances are if that buyer has multiple issued complaints against other ebay users she/ he or has low score on her own feedback usually on the same product or product category, using multile user names-she/he is out to destroy other peoples reputation and has no other objective in mind but to eliminate the competition and their business.

Hope this helps where feedback is concern,
