Clinical studies performed on Quassia verified its traditional use and natural pediculicide, documenting it as an effective treatment for head lice infestation in humans. One of these studies reported a 99% effectiveness in 454 patients who had only two topical treatment one week apart. In a 1991 double blind placebo triel on 148 children with head lice, those treated with quassia bark extract had reported fewer new cases, demonstrating a preventive activity against lice.
How is it used?? Basically you prepare a water extract with the wood or powder of the Quassia tree. You soak it overnight, strain it, and then rinse your hair with the water extract.
