NARUED SELLERS - Should I pay?
As seller can become NARUED for a number of reasons. For example if there is a problem with their paying their eBay account, they could be NARUED made a Not A Registered User until they pay their bill.
There are other reasons too. For example, a seller hasn't been selling for awhile, they moved and didn't update their account information. Somehow that came to the attention of eBay and if they don't get it changed to their correct info withing a specific time period, they will be NARUED until they do.
This happens most often with phone numbers.
Or the account may have been hijacked and someone else was selling on the seller's account. The real seller and eBay may be in the process of fixing this problem.
What do you do as a buyer if your seller is NARUED: If your seller becomes NARUED and you haven't sent payment yet, DON'T send it until your seller is no longer NARUED. Even if they contact you, don't send payment until you see that they are a member in good standing again with eBay.
What if you have already sent the payment? If this is the case, and you paid by paypal with a credit card, you can start the chargeback process to get a refund. Paypal will contact the seller. If the seller proves they sent your item - then there is no problem. :) If they can't prove it and the money is in the account, paypal will take it and return it to you.
