Mystery Auctions, are they really worth what some are paying? Why do people bid so high on something they can't see? Why do I see Mystery auctions in the Bizzare Category?

Well I'll tell ya from my own expirience with this subject. Mystery Auctions are all in the Seller. They could be selling a bag of Nachos, or maybe some stardust, an envelope, or perhaps boxes. They promise free gifts with added value for every bid. I have personally been the winner of many mystery auctions and was satisified 70 percent of the time. That is why I stick with the usuals that know what their doing. If I see a new mystery seller I ask all the questions I need before bidding.  Proceed with caution. Your own gut will tell you...Soo listen to it :)

FEEDBACK????<-----Feedback will NOT always tell you if the seller is going to be good to you or not. What I found after much research and asking questions stunned me and made me rather unhappy. Think about it, most people aren't (especially in this area of eBay)  going to give a negative if they have been wronged in an auction. You may get a box of downright junk and the seller tells you to deal with it. Now to me that deserves a neutral or possibly a negative. We are soo bent on NOT getting a neutral or negative back from them that it in turn sets up the next guy/gal for a bad day. You get what I'm saying? The feedback rating system is a BIG help tool for all of us. It tells us to BUY or not to BUY. When people lie about their expirience through feedback, they are condoning that sellers actions. That warning system is very important for all of us, and needs to be used honestly.

I'm not bashing Mystery Auctions at all, in fact I have a certain few sellers I have grown to trust and they are hands down THE CREAM OF THE CROP.  This is a rapidly growing area on eBay and scams are always out there. Don't be afraid to call them out for it.

When bidding and buying                --->***Ask plenty of questions!!!***<---

You see Mystery Auctions in the Bizzare Category all the time because the Seller thinks it will help them sell for more money, and gain more attention. In fact it doesn't at all. There is a category for Mystery Auctions, and naturally the buyers go there for them. The Sellers that flood the Bizzare category get the bids and watchers only because they have groupies. eBayers that surf the Bizzare Category do soo for the Bizzare items. For the most part they could care less about a Mystery Auctions, and just pass them by.

Putting your auctions in the proper category yeilds higher returns. It's a proven fact
