ok... here it is. I told you i would tell you what I thought after using Acnexus for the first time. I received it yesterday in the mail and here are my first thoughts on the product.
I opened it and was surprised the bottle was smaller than I thought it would be... I guess I did read that it was 9 ounces, but the picture on the site made me assume the bottle would be a bit bigger. I suppose that is marketing! No biggie though, I think you only need one "pump" per face wash and that is supposed to last about 6-8 weeks. I am not disappointed in the size of the bottle but I just want to give you a good description of my experience with it.
I do need to tell you that I was also a bit surprised that there was nothing in the box it came in, like an invoice or receipt for payment, any type of contact info, info on the product or return info. hmmmm? makes me wonder. Plus on top of that, I truly think something is fishy with the website...acnexus.com it just seems a bit unprofessional and a bit hokey to me. I feel like they didn't answer many questions and I'm not even sure there was contact info on there or anything... like who really makes this product? Even on the back of the bottle, there is absolutely no mention of contact info or who makes it. I find that strange. Also, I am turned off by websites that claim things like you can order it for "today only" at 50% off, etc... when you know that's not true... that is the price. To me, things like that, lower their credability.
I purchased it anyway. I am desperate to try something new. Something that is natural that I can use while I am pregnant. (I am not prego yet... just starting to try!)
It came with a free little bottle of "on the spot" acne treamtment. Its a little roll-on tube of all natural ingredients that you directly apply to blemishes. This bottle has a website on the back...liporexin.com I looked at it last night and felt it was another unprofessional, hokey website by the same people. I am just a little confused. I tried it after washing with Acnexus. It made my blemishes feel cool and clean... 2 thumbs up so far. (one other thing i question... the brand Neutrogena carries a little tube of salacylic acid vanishing cream and that is called "On-the-Spot" and is a registered tradmark. This is a way different product but something about it doesn't seem lagit. I don't know.)
The real test is, does Acnexus work? I must say, after all this negative, suspicisous talk about the product, i loved how it made my skin feel. After i washed it off, my skin was soft and supple. I am excited to use it tonight. It actually seemed like some of the blemishes I was "wearing" yesterday have already started healing... much more than they would've on their own. Some have said they don't like how it smells. I think it smells rather nice. Kinda like "Aveda" products... .very all natural spa kinda smell. It is an all-in-one product... I believe this means you don't have to use a toner or moisturizer with it. I think my skin is "addicted" to Clinique's Dramitically Different Moisturizer... I have been using it for 10 years now, after washing my face with Acnexus I did feel my skin "tightening" just a bit so I applied a very small amount of my moisturizer on it and then I felt great and ready for my makeup routine. Maybe I can wean myself off my moisturizer. The Acnexus does leave your skin hydrated. I bet I really wouldn't need any moisturizer... I'll see what happens in the next couple of days.
That's all I can think of for now. I will write again in the next little while if I gather new info on the product. So far I am not regreting purchasing or trying this product... just a little confused on the marketing techniques. Makes me a bit suspicisous.
Hope this helps... I was frustrated when deciding to purchase this product that there was very little info. or reviews out there.
Good day!
