My Television Fitness Regime
If you want to get in shape but can’t seem to pull yourself away from the TV, try this great TV workout that takes place over a One Hour time frame.
Equipment Needed:
Exercise Bike, Treadmill, or Stairclimber
The Workout:
Start your workout at 8pm when a new show comes on and use the cardio equipment of your choice to do cardio until commercial break. When a commercial comes on, stop cardio and drop to ground, start doing pushups until the commercial break is over. When the show is back on continue doing cardio but up the tempo just a bit. When the next commercial break comes on, stop cardio and do squats through the entire break. When the show comes back on hit the cardio again, but up the tempo even more, when the next commercial break hits, do situps until the show comes back on. Up the intensity even more this round, and during the commercial break do lunges. Start over from the beginning, reducing the intensity of the cardio, and follow the same format. Keep going until 1 hour is up. That’s it, a simple, yet effective cardio/weight training workout.
The Workout Broken Down:
Round 1: Really Light Cardio, Pushups During Commercial
Round 2: Light Cardio, Squats During Commercial
Round 3: Medium Cardio, Situps During Commercial
Round 4: High Intensity Cardio, Lunges During Commercial
Repeat as many times as necessary over a 1-hour time period.
This workout has worked wonders on quite a few lazy friends of mine. It can help you lose up to 5lbs a month if done right. Don’t take it easy, this is for your benefit, and you will only get out of it, what you put into it.
