The better approach to having your writing on Associated Content.

I first started writing on the internet about two years ago. I found a fascination with PEX plumbing and also found very little information available about it. I did a lot of research and with that, and my own experiences, I started writing guides. I have always anjoyed writing so it gave ma a fun hobby. I did not know about Associated Content at the time and posted all my guides on eBay where I was starting a small business. My articles were intended to inform and hopefully amuse the reader. I hoped also that they might drive some traffic to my small business. I did gain more insight into PEX plumbing as readers would ask questions that I needed to research or share some of their own experiences. I was glad to share what I learned for free. I still am, however I later discovered Associated Content.

I will be posting this article alongside my PEX guides on eBay. For those of you who do not know, Associated Content is a great site for writers. You may write about virtually any topic and get paid for your writing. You can also submit audio or video. You are paid for the number of page views each of your articles receive. I make very little at this time but every bit helps and I hope to be able to write more and better articles as I continue to grow. There is no cost to the reader of the article so I can still share for free. I have never found any malicious scripts, viruses or nasty pop-ups while viewing the site. I have found many other good writers, both humorous and informative.  What I have also realized is that I will now post any of my follow up PEX guides or stories on Associated Content first and foremost. My total page views for articles written on this site is about 10,200 at the time of this writing, 2-26-2009. At this same time just one of my PEX guides on eBay has received almost 18,700 views and I have a total of six in the series. Had I originally posted these on Associated Content this would result in close to $30 in income. It may not seem like a great deal of money but again every bit helps. I may not have gotten the same response or views as I had through eBay so I am glad to have my articles there as well. I just now intend to put any new guides up on my writing area of the A.C. I have also found it to be a more user friendly site for writers.
