The #1 best glue ever, for gluing jewelry to metal frames as well as ceramic, glass, wood, is....E6000. I just love it!! It starts to set within 5 minutes but, you have plenty of time to work with it. Within the first two hours or so, it is pliable and has an elastic texture. Easily removed and it won't stick to the jewelry. HOWEVER...once it is set...like overnight (24 hrs)...it drys *LIKE A ROCK*. You need a pliers to remove it from a surface.

My next favorite is: Beacon 527 multi-use glue. Very similar to E6000, except I feel it is not as strong and durable. My husband and I *design and create SEA SHELL sculptures* for Fish Tanks. I know you have never heard nor seen one...because we custom design them *by request only*. I discovered Beacon 527 when we had a request for a *giant sea shell sculpture* for a Podiatrist whose tank was in his waiting room. I contacted a young woman who made *Sailors Valentines* out of sea shells and she told me that is the only glue she would ever use because it is *WATER PROOF*. She was right...it works perfect...and our sculptures stay intact. Now, that makes me think Beacon 527 may work on cloth quite well, because you can wash it and it will not come off.

Then there is another favorite of mine...Hot Glue *JEWELRY STIX*, but I only use it for *big and bold* projects...like my *Jeweled Christmas Trees* where I use a ton of jewelry and I stack it on top of each other, so I need a lot of glue and I need it to stick forever!! Now, I use...hot glue...to stick my jewelry to fabric. Come to think of it...if you hot glue jewelry to fabric (like scarves and hankies that I use in *my Bling in a Box), you can ONLY remove it with scissors (cut it off) or rip it off.

My *must have* glue...when I work with having to set a necklace around a frame's edge, or place jewels in clusters or beads in groups on a surface...is Aleene's CLEAR GEL TACKY GLUE in a bottle. It is great!!! It goes on clear and is runny....however when it drys, it drys strong and it dissapears....I mean it! You can not see it. It is a *must have*....always have a small bottle nearby.

AND...last but not least....always have a bottle of *Goof Off* nearby. (The Dollar Store has the perfect size bottle for $1.00). It removes any grime off frames and residue off metal and glass, and anything sticky like stickers and tape residue. I use it to wipe off ALL my items I use to make my frames and keepsakes....especially to clean up jewelry. It is a miracle substance...!!! It won't harm a thing...wood...nothing..safe!

I went to Walgreens and purchased their Micro Fiber blue wash clothes/rags ~ *5 for $5.00* deal. Talk about a miracle rag....I always keep them nearby. They are FABULOUS! The best jewelry buffer/wipe and glass cleaner and duster that was ever made!!

I go to *Hobby Lobby* to get all my craft supplies. E6000, Beacon 527, and Hot Glue Jewelry Stix, can be found in craft stores.

ANOTHER TID BIT ~ NOT RELATED TO GLUE ~ But helpful anyway.....

Since I work with jewelry ~ metal items...I have found *the perfect solution* to shining up darkened pieces of costume jewelry.....darkened either by age, or even rusted from water. For example, I have a vanity set which has a piece of jewelry attached to the back of the mirror and the brush. It comes with a table-top mirror that swivels. All the gold-toned areas were dark and they looked rusted. What I found is that ~ if you paint the surfaces with: "Sally Hansen's *Hard As Nails* (with nylon) nail polish" ~ these items will regain some of their shine, and the rusty or darkened part brightens up quite a bit. The rusty look just goes away. It drys quickly and does not come off...not one bit!! using Tarnex or chemicals "does not work"...jewelry cleaners make it worse.

The perfect jewelry cleaner is *Windex*. Put it in an ultrasonic cleaner...and watch the dirt come off safely! Also, pour *Goof Off* in the ultrasonic cleaner and watch your items sparkle because it takes off all grime and goo. Do not mix the two.... :-)

Try it ~ you'll like it!!

Now that I have told you all of my secrets...hope you enjoyed my *lesson in glue*. It was a pleasure to help. That is why I am here on this earth...I am sure of it!
