I often hear new members asking what is the best way to become a powerseller...Here is my advice:

1. Offer high quality items at a fair price. Do your homework. Research the marketplace before setting prices to make sure they are competetive and fair.

2. Answer all questions quickly and thoroughly. It doesn't matter how great your product is or how great your customer service is, if you leave your emails unanswered for too long and the prospective buyer has moved on to another seller. That's a missed opportunity.

3. Ship as soon as possible, but make sure everything is packaged in a way you would like to receive your items. The buyer won't care how great your product is or how quickly you got it out to them if it arrives in pieces. Make sure you have taken every precaution when packaging the item and think..."would I be happy if I received this package."

4. Communicate every step of the way...let the buyer know when payment has been received, when it has cleared (if applicable), when you are shipping, etc. It's never fun to be left in the dark...wondering if/when a package will be arriving.

5. Never ever lie to your customers for any reason. This is just plain poor business and you are shooting yourself in the foot if you do this. If a problem arises, be honest and sincere. Do you best to explain and rectify the situation. Don't waste your time trying to come up with a believable lie. You'll just get yourself into trouble. Don't do it.

6. Pray that the package makes it quickly and safely through transit and hope that your customers realize how much you appreciate their business and that you put forth your very best effort with each and every package...whether it is a $0.99 item or $1,000 order.

If you have any questions, I am just an email away. :-)
