My 10 Favourite Workout Songs

When working out sometimes you need that extra push, that little extra motivation to help you make through that last set.  Here are my 10 favourite workout songs in no particular order.

1. Till I Collapse – Eminem: The beat really pumps me up, and the rage within the songs helps push me through just about anything.
2. Papa Roach – Between Angels and Insects: This song has been on my play list since before I was born.  It’s a great song to help you power through any cardio workout.
3. The Who – Bubba O’Reilly: One of my all-time favourite songs, it’s an inspirational Rock Ballad, and that’s what it does… inspires me.
4. D12 – Fight Music:  Rock and Rap, two of the most powerful motivational tools when it comes to working out.  Another intense Eminem song that gets the job done.
5. Stemm – Face the Pain:  The theme song of The Ultimate Fighter.  Since many of my workouts involve MMA, this song is a must.
6. Reveille – What You Got:  The beat and the lyrics really get my blood pumping, and pumping blood is a must when you’re on that last set.
7. Fall Out Boy – Dance, Dance:  Really Upbeat and Energetic, when I need an energy boost and I don’t have an energy drink around Dance, Dance will do.
8. Anything by Default/Nickelback:  Although usually pretty mellow, their music really motivates me.
9. Rascall Flatts – Life is a Highway:  One of the best songs ever made, made even better by Rascall Flatts.  You need to have music you love playing while you work out or it will be a chore.
10. Nas – Hate Me Now:  A bad*** song that helps push me through the baddest workouts on the planet.
11. Boy Bands/Kevin Federline:  I love upbeat dance music to get my motor running.  High tempo/High energy music is a must for me to make it through a workout.

I’ve compiled this list to make a point.  The point is, whatever it takes to motivate you to workout, use it.  Whether it’s music or something else.  Everybody is motivated by different things, use what motivates you to your advantage.
