No mater what the Era you Favor You will want to Create the Best appearance you can with your Vintage Originals. Having worked in a Fabulous Vintage Shop and Having worked in retail as an Undergarment and Bra Fit expert, May I advise you with these tips.

Slips~   Various Length and Weight Slips are part of the Must haves that your Vintage Wardrobe will Require. They are becoming harder and Harder to Find, I suggest Having a Mid weight {meaning a few layers but not as full as a lg Crinoline} half slip to ensure the full ness in your Fuller Dresses and Skirts.    2 Chic Full Slips one in Creme or Pink and one in Black , a 22 inches half slip for Shorter dresses               and a 24inche half slip for anything else.

In order to Rock your vintage Clothes Properly you will want to Re Create all of the Finer touches.

Bras~   A proper fitting Long Line Bra can be your best friend while wearing Vintage Fashions. The longline Provides Support Through the Bust, Back and Middle. This will help give a flattering line under your more fitted Dresses and Suits.                                                                                                     You may Want to Consider the Bullet Bra For those earlie 50s tops and dresses, the shape of this bra will help you fill out some Dresses and Tops. And then we have the Good Quality Strapless. For sundresses ECT.

Girdles~   This is not a Bad word and Girdles and Support items of today are quite nice and will ensure you that Sleek smother look, Ladies wor them back then and who knows a Good Support Girdle may even help you get into that Skirt of Dress thay you are Dieing to wear.  I would suggest a Panty with the Tummy panel or the Shorts made from Memory withholding Spandex. These items cost aprox 25.00 -40.00 but when you consider that they are a Wardrobe Staple item they are well worth there weight.

Hoes~ Are Optional depending on your Climate, but can Dress and ensemble up and top it off nicely.

The Under clothes are what set the stage for the outer clothes.

I would like to suggest going into a Finer retail Lingerie Shop , Neimans or Sax. Have one of the Fit Experts help you, Buy and Try Something and See what you Really like, Then Run home and Look up your favorites on ebay, You will know your size and what is right. Forever New This is for Man Made Materials Spandex, Elastic and Such  Perfect for NYLON. and Tulle.  It smells Great too.

Woolight is Wonderful for Cottons but can Ruin your Elastic and Spandex.
