I would rather have a 20 dollar guitar from Sears, with a wonderful monster cable, than the coolest vintage Les Paul Guitar without an amplifier.

      Okay, that being said, buy good cable.  Sound is nothing more than a vibration of air.  1 vibration per second is what we call a Hertz. 

     If we remove sound from our audio signal, we remove a portion of our signal, and the tone changes.  So, if you can avoide the digital world, do it, but if you have to digitize, use good cable to capture your best signal.
