Hello,

When buying a Muscle Machine brand die cast car one must consider is it better loose or is it better to have it and the package???????????????

Well my opinion and that of several buyers that I sell to IS...to appreciate the quality of the item open it and display it loose. As far as error packages keep those in the pack and get a non error of the same car to display loosely, error packs are common in all diecast.

However the most sought after in Muscle Machines are the first issues  numbers 00-01 thru 00-12. There are 2 diff versions of these cars one is the Double Logo very proudly displayed as Blue Logo in the upper right hand corner and the Model Manufacturer displayed on the plastic card portion as a label inside the bubble on the card such as Pontiac, Chevrolet, ect.

These so called Double Logo/s also come with just the Model manufacturer on the label inside the plastic bubble and NO  Blue Logo on the top of card. These both are more rare to find and would not be considered an opener.

RACE VERSIONS  a tru race version is a metal chasis car not plastic chasis and bears a gold sticker on the card that simply states Race Version these also are considered to be rare and not something you want to open.

HOBBY Versions are generally the Toy Fair and the HOBBY show cars or the WHITE Tire and the RED & BLUE tire versions these are clearly labeled and or clearly shown with the colored tires and those are not to be opened as well, (for the purpose of collector value for resale).

RAWS  these are similar to Zamac hot wheels with No paint and very limited in production, youwont find these in any stores either is is considered a Hobby Only item carried by dealers only. They have no paint and are a pewter color in appearance and released in small numbers like 500 to 2400 issued, are better known as the Treasure Hunt of Muscle Machines equivalent to a White Lightning by Johnny Lightning or a Treasure Hunt from Hot Wheels. Not every car has a raw issued which is another reason why they are more collectible, very few issued in total.

In the end its really up to the collector, I say play with them , look at them & enjoy them any way you wish, modify them whatever makes you happy as long as you enjoy your hobby whatever it is!  As always  Muscle Machines Rule (no matter what scale, make)

New information for all you Muscle Machines collectors, as of Dec 2005 Muscle Machines was once again sold to another company Action has sold all its holdings to a group company called Motor Sports Authority some of you may be familiar with them, the final release of 2005 is now out which is the Stone, Woods & Cook 6 car set under the Action Label in the nice clam shell package, New 2006 cars are also out in the form of 5 packs and the soon to come 2006 A_B release of a 12 car set, so dont give up on these great little cars production is resuming and we hope to see more great rides and better quality paint

As soon as they arrive they will be posted on my auctions, and in my store, again enjoy your hobby wheather its collecting, modifying or both.

Loose or in the pack it dont really matter Its what you like and belive me when I say it I sell more loose than in the pack. As always  BJ.............
