We have had four of the Motorola v180 cell phones for less than two years with broken LCD screens.  The Motorola warranty and insurance is pretty much a joke.  Money each month for the insurance and then it is $50.00 if you have a problem.  The v551 is going for around $110.00 new on Ebay and used ones cheaper yet.  I really like the size, performance and weight of the v180, but the LCD screens are definitely vulnerable on these phones.  We now have three of the Motorola v551 phones and so far so good.  For the price on Ebay of the v180 I feel it is worth the additional money to go with the v551.  Overall I think Motorola is a good brand, but they let us down with the v180.  Cingular or Motorola should have offered a free upgrade when these models proved to be so fragile.
