After reading a few different guides, I just thought I would tell my experience with the Motorola V180.  I worked with a cell phone company for about a year.  I would handle anything from billing issues to technical support.  I have to say that the V180 had the most returns or complaints by far.  I don't want to talk bad about Motorola...I have a V551 and LOVE my phone.  However, I would NEVER buy the V180.  I heard most unhappy people say that the phone would always drop calls even with the person being in good area coverage with a fully charged battery.  LCD problems were a big issue as well. 

Someone wrote and said how she returned her V180 five times.  Most companies will send you a different phone after having returned the same phone twice for the same issues.  Be sure to ask your cell phone carrier what their policy is if you have to continuously return your phone for issues.  But if you just buying elsewhere (on e-bay for example) don't keep purchasing a phone that you keep having trouble with.

My advise to possible V180 purchasers: Spend a few bucks more and get a better phone that will last a while...like the V551.  :)
