First off, let me start by saying that I'm not a dealer nor do I work for one.  I bought a chinese made enduro dirtbike off ebay 3 years ago and has been reliable as most any name brand bike of the same comparison.  There has been some nuts and bolts issues, but nothing serious.  If you want more information go to chinariders dot net (they wouldn't let me post the link) and you will find plenty of satisfied owners, they also have links to dealers, manufactures, parts and other boards located in Yahoo Groups. This is a free site, no special software required, no credit card needed, so before you believe all the negetive comments, do some research and judge for yourself.  Also, the average price of a china made 200cc enduro is around $1300, +/- $100, including shipping.  I wouldn't pay anything over this unless the dealer is close by, assembles the bike and offers warranty claims. One of  the main risks involved with these bikes is finding someone who will work on them, if you know of a privately owned motorcycle shop or mechanic that works on any make/model then give them a call before making a purchase, don't rely on name brand dealers, more than likely they won't be willing to help just because you didn't buy from them.

Getting the bike insured was no problem for me, I used Geico and was less than $100/yr.  Obtaining a title, registration, and license was not a problem either in my state (Ar), check the message boards mentioned above to see if anyone in your state has had problems.  Make sure the dealer can provide a manufacturer statement of origon (MSO) before you make the purchase, I believe this is required in all states.

If you buy a bike and have it shipped, be sure to have insurance, open and inspect the container for any dammages, report anything found to the shipping company immediately on the delivery confirmation invoice.  If the bike arrives totally FUBR, don't accept it and refuse the shipment.  I don't know a whole lot about filing a claim since I never had to do it, but from what I've heard it can be a pain.
