I continue to receive questions pertaining to the Tiara Crystal which was made by the Indiana Glass Company now known as Anchor Hocking.

The mother load of Tiara Sites have been found (as I see it from my view) go the the geocities site online under the owner of /SoHo/Den/3255/ 

AND I HAVE FOUND THE FOLLOWING WRITTEN BY A FEW PEOPLE.

Tiara Glass was marketed by Tiara Exclusives of Dunkirk, Indiana, USA through home-parties held by sales agents, between 1970 and 1998. The offices of Tiara Exclusives were adjacent to the Indiana Glass Company, and both companies belonged to the Lancaster Colony Corporation.

Indiana Glass made a very large volume of the glassware for Tiara. Tiara glass was also made by other glassworks including Fenton Art Glass and L.E.Smith, both before and after the closure of the Indiana Glass hand shop (in 1989).

Tiara Exclusives marketed a wide variety of handmade and machine-made glassware, mostly of a high standard. This included some reproductions or re-issues of patterns originally made by Indiana Glass and other companies during the depression years. These re-issues used the same moulds for patterns such as Avocado, Sandwich, and Madrid (originally a Federal Glass pattern).

Apart from paper labels, Tiara Exclusives did not mark their glass except for a very few pieces. One exception to this rule was that some Indiana glass made for Tiara was marked with the name Tiara in the mold.

Tiara Exclusives operated for 28 years. Their glass is collected with enthusiasm by many people, but criticised by others. No doubt our grand-children will value it just as we respect Depression Glass today, which after all was given away free in its day!

Tiara Exclusives was started by the Indiana Glass Company to capitalize on the home party craze. when Attendance was required or someone's feelings were "ruffled" and you pretty much had to buy at least one item. The products extended to glass gifts, paperweights,  Decorated glass, vases, dishes, bowls, , candlesticks, candle holders, oil lamps, decorative glass, cake plates, tumblers, glass shades, pitchers,carafes, decanters, ice buckets, bowls, gift ideas, jewelry boxes, perfume bottles, decanters, business card holders, ring holders, cuspidors, baskets, toothpick holders, oil candles, glass pumpkins, garden floats, glass floats, ashtrays, baskets, powder jar, temple jar, water cooler, washing pots and hand blown glass,blown glass vase, art glass bowl,Powder Jar, Flowerpot, Drink Set, dishes, gups, tumblers, ashtrays urns, water sets, window boxes.candleholders, carafes, cocktail shakers, compotes, creamer, cordial sets, decanters, dresser set, fruit baskets, goblet, jiggers, punchbowl,

Some of the items found in the Tiara catalogs were labeled "Preferred Hostess" and were offered as bonuses or gifts in addition to cash commissions as. The Flower Medallion Lime green carnival glass items . 
 

The Indiana Glass Company produced a wide variety of glass items in a wide array of colors.
Candle or Fairy Lamps ,  carnival glass, the Daisy pattern , Diamond Point, colored versions for Tiara Home Products., Indiana Fruits , Garland pattern. , Harvest pattern, Killarney ,Lace Edge , Lily Pons ,.Loganberry , Lorain ,Mt. Vernon , Pebble Leaf , Pretzel ,Princess ,Quadruped ,Thumbprint/King's Crown ,Weavetex , Wild Rose , Windsor pattern.with the glassware production extended to glass gifts, paperweights,

I THOUGHT I WAS DONE COLLECTING MY AMBER SANDWICH CRYSTAL SET WITH BEING ABLE TO SIT 12 GUESTS AT MY TABLES AND THEY HAVE THE COMPLETE SET OF DINNERWARE, SERVING DISHES, CANDLES, SALT/PEPPER, WATER/ICE TEA PITCHER, CAKE PLATTER, AND THE REST OF ALL THAT MIGHT BE MADE IN THIS PARTICULAR SET WHEN I FIND I STILL MIGHT WANT THAT FINAL SET OF OVAL PARTY DISH WITH CUP "JUST IN CASE ONE MIGHT BREAK".  NOW I CALL 'THAT' ADDICTED!  THINK I NEED TO JOIN THE CLUB MYSELF.  LAST I FIGURED BY REPLACEMENT COST, MY COLLECTION WAS OVER $5,000.... and to think my son says "Mom, don't leave that ugly stuff to us in the will!" *LOL*  Well now! I shall soon get it out to enjoy!!!
