I decided to become a distributor of Monavie back in June 2007 after hearing about it from several people over an 11 month period.  I signed up, paid the $39 distributor fee, and began a regular regimen of drinking two ounces twice per day RELIGIOUSLY, until the beginning of December.  I was initially very skeptical of the product, and the MLM that is involved with it but, I remained positive to see what results I would see from this juice.  From the beginning, I learned I could not drink Monavie anytime after noon.  The acai berry definitely does have some positive effects on my energy levels.  Each bottle of Monavie contains 25 ounces, which if following there instructions of taking one to two ounces twice per day, a bottle will last you anywhere from 6 - 12 days.  That can be 2 - 4 bottles per month which is $253.00 (your minimum requirement to receive full commissions from Monavie).  I never noticed any other health benefits or positive changes after drinking Monavie and drank it consistently for 6 months along with my husband and son - who also never saw or felt any other results than the energy levels I initially spoke of.

I do believe acai as a suplement is a GREAT product!  I began looking into other "acai berry drinks" that would either tell me how much acai was in them, or had the same benefits, since most do not disclose the amount of acai.  As anyone who drinks Monavie is aware, it certainly can be quite pricey, even as a distributor.  You must remain "active", which means you must "DRINK" the product and have two qualified people who are also active before you can earn any money with the company.  To get the maximum benefit, you must have 200 in personal volume, which is $253.00 per month after shipping of the product.  It's quite a lot to spend or the possibility of making money and convincing people to spend that type of money on a juice.  They claim you are an independent contractor, however, they do tell you where you can and cannot sell it - you cannot sell it on ebay, amazon or any other auction website.

Although I did quite well with Monavie, I decided that I didn't want to spend the $253.00 per month to purchase a product that, although it tastes very good, is quite expensive for what it is (or isn't).  They don't really disclose to you how much of each ingredient is in the product, so it may mainly be several of the "other" 18 fruits that are in it that you are tasting.  They won't reveal how much acai is in it, although they claim it is the key ingredient - not the MOST USED ingredient. I did find another product very similar that has given me the same effects I received from Monavie, (increased energy) called Sambazon.  You can type it into any search engine and find the direct website - they carry a product that you can receive in capsules, pills, juice, or frozen and three different flavors - original acai, PURE ACAI, and cherry acai.  I purchase the frozen pure acai and make an energy bowl from this by blending it with some apple juice to make a thick ice cream like acai blend along the bottom, (you can also just use ice), then adding some granola on the top, fresh bananas and strawberries and a little honey.  It is absolutely the BEST tasting product I have had, and I get incredible energy from it all day long.  I am also still reaping the benefit of the ACAI berry.  The receipe is also on the back of the pure acai packets.  The company ships them frozen to you (28 packets direct from the company shipped is around $58), or you can pick them up at your local whole foods or health food store for around $28 for 28 packets.  It's MUCH cheaper than Monavie with the same energy effect and health benefit of the acai berry.  Not to mention you don't have to be part of an MLM, and you can share this wonderful experience of the ACAI berry with your friends without having to pay a fortune.

Go ahead and give it a try, you certainly won't be disappointed.

I'm not saying that Monavie isn't a great product, by any means, it certainly is - but there are definitely OTHER acai berry products out there that people should know about that cost much less and don't require you to be part of an MLM to receive them.

I know a lot of people come here on ebay to purchase there Monavie since they may not know of any local distributors, and don't want to be part of the MLM.  I know of a person that was in my upline from Monavie who sells MonaVie here on Ebay, and Monavie has been tracking down people selling here on ebay.  They are having listings shut down claiming that the people are infringing on there copyright or intelluctual property rights (even though they are using the photos they took of there product, and there own description - which means they are NOT doing anything wrong).  Since they are a VERO client with ebay, the moment that Monavie reports a listing, ebay will shut it down - whether it is in violation or not.  Ebay does not make the decision if the listing is in violation, they shut it down since Monavie is a verified rights owner client of Ebays.  If the ebay customer wants to dispute the closing of the listing, they have to send in a signed affidavit (which discloses to Monavie who they are), disputing the claim.  Ebay will not allow for any relistings until that affidavit is sent in, and sent over to Monavie.  This is why you have seen several Monavie listings removed from ebay, and the price of Monavie is getting much higher for those listings that do make it to the end.  It's really quite sad that Monavie will not allow for listings here since many people do not know where to purchase it, and this allows for a nice deal on the product for those people without having to be a distributor.  Shame on Monavie for trying to state to  INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS  where to sell a product.  In the state of Florida, that makes them an EMPLOYEE not independent contractor.
