Pros and Cons of DVD Built into Monitor or External DVD System:
May not be important compared to personal preference but worth considering.
External:
+ This type System allows for bigger/better/more equip per cost.
+ After warranty if one part fails only it needs replaced vs allinone.
+ More options, configurations, features can be done with separates.
+ Upgrade possibilities for more, update technology of the source, etc.
- Install Labor could take slightly longer than a built in dvd all in one.
Built In:
+ May be easier saving time to install or cost less to have done.
+ Takes up less space in the vehicle with DVD / LCD combined.
- DVD and Monitors tend to have different lifespans to last or outdate.
- Headrests DVD at back of front heads (loading, vibration, audibles, heat).
- Overhead next to roof metal at outside of vehicle more subject to heat/cold.
- All-in-Ones offer little if any options for expansion of features or upgrading.
- Costs considerably more for equal size/features in same quality vs separates

Audio Options for Video another important factor, how Sources are heard
Private Listening or Car Stereo Playback, One or More Sources ?
Wireless Headphones - Private Listening
Several types (see Headphones Guide) with IR being the most popular.
IR requires line of sight but provides clean audio over a locked frequency.
IR consumes less battery power to operate and has the best quality per price.
Available in Single Channel and also Dual Channel for 2 Sources to play at once.
Car Stereo Integration - Play it Outloud
-FM Mods and Emitters both serve a similar function sending Audio to FM Radio.
Modulators are normally a wired version which connects inline with car antenna.
Emitters are wirelss sending the audio over the air to receive by your car stereo.
-OEM Integration is the best quality alternative but also the most expenisve to add.
If not oem equipped Adapters are available at a price for converting most vehicles.
Dual Zone Speakers - 2 Outlouds ? Music / Movie Audio Together ?
Can be large enough to compete with Car Stereo 30-300+ Watts Power.
2 Full Volumes Same Space ? Effective ? Try it at home and see ? (No?).
Built Into Video Speakers - Not much use in Vehicle Environment.
Commonly Built in Speakers range from less than 1 to 5 Watts Power.
Can be of use in a non-moving quiet vehicle, not adequate over road noise.
Not enough to compete with Car Stereo, Outloud Audio is best thru Radio.
