Please go to our guide: How to Henna your Hair for Brown Tones, using indigo.
Optional: To get more red tones, you may add hibiscus tea or paprika to your paste. To achieve more brown tones you can also add tea or coffee, walnut husk powder, yoghurt or amla powder. This will also tone down the red color if you don't want it so bright.
You may also choose to add orange blossom water or rose water to add great scent. Some also chose to add essential oils (terps) to their henna paste, but it is not a must as the hair isn't as fussy to taking to henna as the body can be.
