Miroslav Klose- Germany's Prolific Striker
Germany's Miroslav Klose is no stranger to success around the goal. As one of the German National Team's most dangerous assets, Klose seems to find the back of the opposing teams net on a regular basis. Since he began playing for the national team, Klose has scored an amazing 28 goals in international play including a hat trick during the 2002 World Cup against Saudi Arabia National Team. His aggressive play has often been compared to that of a panther because of the way he manages to stealthily position himself in the goal box during corner and free kicks. Klose began his career playing for FC Kaiserslautern in the German Bundesliga league in 1999. In 2004 he was transferred to Werder Bremen where he has remained since. As one of Germany's most prolific strikers Klose will certainly play a crucial role in Germany's success during World Cup 2006.
