Microsoft wants you to use their search engine live.com and they will throw money at you if you do. Sounds good, right?
I've added step by step guide to some of my auction listings and responses have been great so I decide to put this simple yet effective guide to help you save $$$. Currently Microsoft is offering 30% cashback of purchase price and this may be changed from time to time.
Let's do some shopping now.
1) Go to live.com and type in the item you looking for in search window as shown. I typed in Nintendo Wii as an example. Most item with model number or specific name would work but some items including clothings don't always show up. In that case, type in item name + on ebay. (For example... Chanel Bag on ebay and etc...)
Sorry for tiny pics. I originally uploaded full size pics but eBay won't allow size bigger than this.
2) Nintendo Wii on eBay shows up at the very first row. All you have to do is CLICK IT.
3) Notice something? Yes, you got Microsoft Cashback icon currently 30% next to your eBay ID. Once you get this icon, you can search any item or type in eBay item number to go to specific item you'd like to purchase.
4) When you click the BIN button prior to clicking on Commit to buy you should see a message below with the Cash Back you are eligible to recieve. 30%...NICE!
5) Once you complete transaction with paypal and give it an hour. Eventually you'll get a message in your ebay account saying "You've earned cashback" simply click on it and follow the instructions. Note that it will take up to 75 days to actually redeem your cashback.
Here are qualification for the MS Cashback.
- You must pay using Paypal.
- It takes about 75 days to recieve the actual money transferred to your paypal account. From there you can spend it or transfer it into your checking or simply request a check.
- If you return the item you purchased and used the promotion on you LOSE the refund.
- This is only valid for Ebay user/store auctions on Ebay.com.
- You may only use this a maximum of 12 times per ebay account per person.
- Maximum of $200 back PER AUCTION [$2,500 Cap per account] and the percent savings does vary and can change without notice.
That's it for now and I'll keep update this guide if there is any noticeable changes.
ENJOY YOUR SHOPPING ON EBAY!!!
