Michael Kors- A Guide to Michael Kors & Fashion
Michael Kors has been crowned the "King of jet-set American style," though it is slightly uncertain whether he received this title by popular consensus in the fashion world or simply from his colleagues on Bravo's hit show Project Runway. Without a doubt, this popular reality show transformed Kors from one of American's more understated upscale designers to a household name. Patronage by popular celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Catherine Zeta-Jones has done a lot to raise the Michael Kors image, as well.
Also contributing to Kors' higher profile is the recent debut of the MICHAEL line, which is more affordably priced than the Michael Kors line. The first Michael Kors line was a women's clothing line, available in high-end department stores beginning in 1981. In 2002 Michael Kors men's wear premiered, but it was really in 2004 with the debut of the MICHAEL line that millions of people embraced the brand.
Kors' MICHAEL line provides modern style in tops, pants, jackets, and skirts, to name a few of the pieces in the collection. The eyelet top, linen halter, and embroidered tunic offer distinctive styles and comfort. For warm summer days, the long shorts and twill knickers, constructed from cotton and spandex, provide comfort all day and are machine washable, making them hassle free.
Handbags are actually among the most popular items from Michael Kors fashion. One style that is available in many forms is the Astor. The Astor line from Michael Kors consists of a shopper bag, shoulder satchel, hobo bag, and wristlet handbag. The leather bags are accented with silver metallic studs and are available in both tan and black leather. The collection can be paired with any Michael Kors shoes, including the Astor style, which is available in pumps and sandals.
