City....G=Guadalajara....C=Cuernavaca....
What Does The Second Letter Represent?
The Second Letter Is The First Initial Of The Artisans Last Name.
What Do The Numbers Represent?
How Many Silversmiths Registered The Same Inital Prior To This Silversmith.
Example:....TM-26 Means It Was Made In Taxco Mexico By Artisan With Whose Last Name Starts With "M".
There Were 25 Other Artisans To Register The Letter "M" With The Mexican Assay Office.
Prior To This Silversmith.
This Silversmiths # Would Be #26.
You Also Know That The Piece Was Made After 1979, Because The Eagle Mark Was Still In Use Until Then.
There Are A Few Letters & Numbers Marks That Are Know To Belong To Certain Silversmiths.
