Interested in NO CONTRACT MetroPCS? Here is what we think of the service!
Years ago we were putting out almost $400 a month for two phones with unlimited long distance use under Sprint. Sprint no longer had an offer as good as the plan we currently had so on the date of of our 3rd year expiration, I went to use my phone and found it dead. In other words; Sprint knew it did not want to have to renew our wonderful plan *they had for the past 2 years* so they just cut off our service on our end date with no warning. Nice huh?
It worked out great...
I now thank Sprint for being such smucks. I was tired of their customer service and dropped calls and this gave us a reason to shop elsewhere. Happily we found METROPCS.
That day we saw a METROPCS store and decided to drop in. The store was very busy but we were helped fairly quickly. They had a selection of about 12 phones and none priced above $300.00. We saw Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, and more. We picked out a $150 Motorola and went to the counter. MetroPCS offered four plans from $30-$42 and we picked the highest plan. We found out the first month was free and my total bill for one phone with the deluxe unlimited long distance, call waiting, forwarding, 411 and more would always be under $50 a month. So we were out of the door for just over $100.00, in less than half an hour. We were paying $200 for this service with Sprint and now we are down to under $50 a month...can't beat it! The first trip to Sprint took us over two hours and we dreaded ever having to go into Sprint. MetroPCS felt like Disneyland.

MetroPCS has truly been a joy. Our service was on within ten minutes of signing up and after being with MetroPCS for two years now, I can honestly count the dropped calls on ONE hand. I quickly make my payments online the same date of activation every month. I have no had overcharges or problems. The times I have had to use customer service, they were always on the ball and answered my questions quickly. I love the fact that there is no contract. If by chance I cannot make my payment, my phone number is held for a couple of months. I simply repay my bill and I get hooked up again. This has never happened, but it is nice to know that if something happens in my life, I won't have METROPCS breathing down my neck for a service I can't afford to use. The one time I did forget to pay my bill and noticed my phone was off, I paid online and it was on within one hour.
The traveling we have done up and down the state had pretty good coverage except for in the mountains, which is typical of every coverage plan. I honestly have no complaints with MetroPCS. We use our phone daily and it has been 100% reliable for us.
I do wish METROPCS would deliver hot cinnamon buns to my door every morning, but hey, I can't honestly expect that much for under $50 a month:)
Good luck with METROPCS!
