"Metaphysical Sellers Secrets and more!" I was forwarded this "amazing" guide by another seller who was forwarded it by one of her buyers. It is a supposed voting poll comprised of 109 buyers (of course none of which are named) who have placed their input on whether or not a seller is real. Wow folks, have we really come to this now? I love how every time a seller (like ourselves) tries to point out the copycats and/or troublemakers some new form of defamation shows up on the web (now you guys know why we stopped the Black List)... and of course this magnificent "real" guide is no different - conveniently lacking any substantial fact to back up its claims...
Supposedly the originator of this email contacted buyers through the seller's feedback and asked how their experience was with that seller... obviously this honest, trust-worthy person has absolutely no problem violating eBay policy... hmm...
First off let me say I am amazed at their choice of sellers to review... amazingly they chose UAMD and Elite Collectors members sprinkled with other sellers here and there who have been in the category for at least a year. Let's just say right there it gives notice that there is something foul in the air especially if the originator of the email is supposed to be someone who has researched the category for 2 years.
If I researched something for 2 years do you think I would only come up with the names of the same sellers who have been badmouthed and harassed through other websites, message boards and other venues? I don't think so. The UAMD, Elite Collectors and sellers who have had a presence in this category for a year or more have consistently and relentlessly been harassed and defamated in numerous outlets by unscrupulous, dirty sellers and when confronted they try to either erase their messages or cover them up with other ridiculous behavior.
Secondly, I want to press on the matter of where everyone gets their vessels. I have touched on this before with other collectors and sellers and now I am going to review it so everyone can understand.
First of all let me explain how we work. We work on a larger scale and we have jewelry and vessels that we make by hand (our Gemstone section for example)... jewelry and vessels that come from India, Thailand and Egypt... and on our website we offer jewelry from Teeda.com because they always have a consistent selection of jewelry and if someone wants a custom conjuration they can select their own piece.
I'm not sure where everyone came up with the notion that every vessel in this category is some long-lost never before discovered work of art? That's kind of crazy. Sure there are rarities, vintage pieces, antiques... but in the real world where I (and most other sellers operate) you have to have vessels available for collectors and available to work on. There are days I cast up to 15 different vessels - if I'm going on a treasure hunt to find lost antiquities I would never work. So I work with artisans in the aforementioned countries and local artisans right here in New York that I trust and for our website when I have to have a consistent selection for collectors to choose from I use a company I know will always have the vessels they want in stock.
I can't go to a psychic fair or one of our community gatherings where there may be hundreds of other collectors with 100 different long-lost antique rings... rather I take the reality route and say here are the pieces I know I can get any time you are ready, and from my experience amongst others who have done this for years you stick with what you know you can get... I can't promise someone a ring from the belly of an Egyptian tomb but I can tell them I can find them a sterling and onyx ring.
What gives a vessel its value is the work I (my husband, or other practitioners we work with) put into and onto the vessel through magic, rites, ceremony or casting. Some sellers prefer other vessels I am a fan of sterling silver because it is affordable and it holds up well and I like pretty vessels... if I'm going to wear my spirits with me or enchantments I want to look nice while doing it.
This level of bad mouthing and trying to defame other sellers for their own gain is getting really tiresome. And the fact that they ALWAYS target the SAME SELLERS every time should be warning enough to everyone that if this person researched the category for 2 years they better have something better than the membership list to the UAMD and ESPC with the few extra sellers that were badmouthed in message boards this past summer. I researched the category in one weekend and had a full list of sellers, how long they sold in the category, what their previous names were and detailed information on their location, feedback and sometimes IP address so whoever the originator of the email was must be knitting with one needle.
