Mensa Games

Mensa is the society for very bright people, the only qualification for membership is a high IQ. The  society welcomes people from all walks of life whose IQ is in top 2 %.

The Mensa Society chooses 5 games each yeat that stimulate the area of the brain that enhances your IQ. They do this by finding games that are fun, challenging and that stimulate the synapses in your brain.  (These are the muscles in your brain that carry messages to the parts of your brain for math, reading, logical and critical thinking, decision making and so on.) As with any muscle in your body, if you don't use it, the muscle weakens, and the more you use it the stronger it gets. Any strengthened muscle in you body affects all other functions of your body.

By playing Mensa Games you will work these muscles in your brain, your are improving your IQ. These games are great for  use between studying (SAT) or in Tournaments, (Chess) when you take a break, play a Mensa Game. Even though your are not studying or playing a critical match, your are still exercising the synapses in your brain by playing the games!

The Beauty of Mensa Games are that they are only as chalenging as your opponent is skilled. So if you are playing with your elementary school children the games will be over quickly, until they develop their strategy skills. They will want to play over and over! The games are great for getting familys together, not watching TV and actually talking and laughing together!

There are hundreds of Mensa Select  games available, they are all fun and different games strengthen different areas of the brain. If you have questions, you can email us, we have played every game we have in our store. We can tell you what areas of the brain they strengthen and what ages they are best suited for.  I use these games to teach all ages of challenged students, gifted students, and senior citizens. They all love the games.

Most Mensa games are not found in your local toy stores, you can find them here on eBay or in Scholastic stores.
