DON'T DO IT!!!!! If they come to your house, it might be a smooth transaction at first, but that person might me a crook and come back and rob you. He now knows what you have. If it's jewelry, collectibles or whatever, he has seen it, he's seen the alarm set up, he finds easier ways to get in your house. Maybe he sees the door is not dead bloted or he sees windows unlocked. Also he might just come over and rob you on the spot. I guess we think that because it is ebay, we have to trust him....DON'T DO IT!!! I am asked all the time to people and I won't. If they can't afford the $5 to pay for sh and would rather waste time to come get it, especially in large cities where it's time consuming to get it, ask yourself "why are they coming? Also never meet anyone at a public place to do a transaction. To make a fake money order is just as easy today as it is to tie your shoes. IE you sold an iphone and the guy wants to meet you at Starbucks to give you the cash for it. Instead he comes with a postal money order. It's 7pm , he has a postal money order, but the post office is closed. He's wearing a suit, clean shaven...ok I take the Money Order. Well you get to the post office to cahs it or take to bank to deposit and then you realize you've been had. Most of my customers pay with paypal and I get the occasional money order. Is someone going to send a fake money order for $5 or $10.....probably not. If I get a money order from someone for $1000 and they have good feedback, I let it clear like a check. Be sure to do the same thing. Never take checks! Send them back no matter what, especially checks that start in the 100's for the check number. People do write bad checks and there are people out there that can't balance there check book like you and I can balance a shoe on the floor. Hop e I've helped and as always email me through ebay if you have a situation like this and are unsure what to do. I will give my best opinion and there is nothin like a free opinion right? keep on biddin folks............. love_edg
