Make sure the measuremens of your TMX Tickle me Elmo, Louis Vuitton, PSP or IPOD are what you want for you or your child.
Another seller wrote to me and asked a question about an eBay member that was quite picky about the measurements. This seller wrote me to ask my advice on how to proceed.
Unfortunately, this is what you have to put up with if you sell for a RETAIL price. In RETAIL, the costomer is always right.
Some customers don't belong on eBay as may be the case here. All I can say is I looked at the item in question and did the right thing by the buyer. I don't recall but after the selling experience with this buyer, I may have blocker her from future buying from me because the time involved was way too much to be worth dealing with a finicky and frivolous buyer AGAIN. You will see this quesion of SIZE comes up frequently in the world of RETAIL.
Again, you must bend the rules sometime to make the customer happy. As a general rule, MOST customers are not like this.
If a BUYER is reading this, please think twice about purchasing an item on eBay if you have any doubts whatsoever that you will fully enjoy the item you bought. If the SELLER placed the approximate and correct measurements in the ad, and you were not misleading the customer and have the right to stand your ground. I would also observe the past buyuing practices of the buyer. In the case you mention the buyer has a 100% feedback rating. Bottom line, I would agree to an exchange or return if you cannot help this buyer.
If you have a rock solid returns policy within your store you will avoid misunderstandings.
I encourage BUYERS to do what just occurred this very moment while I was writing this GUIDE. (I just received a BUYER telephone call).
CALL your seller first, to ask questions. Only through good communication will problems be avoided. Thanks.
