Owning a Maytag Neptune washing machine has a alittle unknown failure, thats going to result in an expensive control board purchase. Replacing  your old wax motor now will save you a major headache later on the following affected neptune models: Stacker 2000, MAH3000, MAH4000,and the MAH5500A

The old wax motors are brownish red and are the main cause of the motor control board being fried, due to a poorly designed body which allowed moisture in and creating a short. The newer versions have a black tip and are built to last and possibly out last all parts on the washer itself. The newer version part is from Whirlpool part #12002535 it works by having its internal wax component expanding with electricity allowing the black tip to push out and lock the door, which activates the red led door lock light, If your door lock light doesn't come on and you have a no spin cycle, chances are you have a burned R11 & Q6 failure and all three items need to be replaced or a new board purchased, Our exclusive repair kits can fix this problem and save you hundreds on the purchase of a new board.

To be sure you have the classic R11 burn on the upper control board, take a look at our photo help that will show you how to easily remove a couple of screws to find your board and wax motor.Click on this link to find our kits and our photo help.PHOTO HELP.

The failed oldWax Motors cause the Q6 triac to overheat and internally shorts out sometimes it pops and shows damage sometimes it doesn't, the R11 also overheats due to the failed Q6 and it takes on a more violent reaction in the form of a 120 volt surge to it causing a small controlled fire to the R11 component which usually extinguishes itself before causing a big fire. Our repair kits include a Blue metal R11 resistor to prevent a fire that can spread causing more damage to the board.

Inspecting your upper control board is easy.

A).Unplug your washers power source from the wall.

B.)Unscrew all three phillips screws from the top of the washer control console.

C.)Pull the console forward out of its plastic mounted holes (see our photos)

D.)The Control board sits behind the console mounted on the inside.

E.)Now you should be able to inspect R11 for the classic burn.

If the R11 is toasted simply buy our repair kit, it includes a new Wax Motor, R11& Q6 which you can easily solder in your self of have a friend do for you. If you rather have a new board replacement we can assist you that way as well.We highly advice doing the repair mainly because it will save you $400-$500 on a new upper control board.

We have a high repair percentage. The repair kit is your best choice and is guaranteed to last for years. And the chance are excellent it will solve your no spin cycle.

If you are the original owner of the Maytag Naptune washer, get the old wax motor out before you experience the headache about to come.
