We bought this washer (and matching dryer) almost two year ago. The benefits were good -
Large capacity -- stick nearly a dozen towels in the machine at one time.
Energy efficient & lower water usage.
Great design
The maytag name and legacy of never needing a repair.
However we have the following issues:
We live in a house with a crawl space. This washer spins at something like 125 mph Ive been told by a repair man. When it spins it shakes the floor not only in the laundry room but in our kitchen and study. It has broken caulking off our countertops and many more issues. We tried removing the pedestals for more stability. This helped some but not much. Repairman explained that we would need to get someone to go under the crawl space and reinforce the laundry room floor to minimize this issue! Wish we would have been told this before buying. If we were on a slab or a more stable foundation it wouldnt have been an issue. Overall i have heard good things about them but am very upset we spend four figures on a washer that can damage our house
