Marni- A Guide to Marni & Fashion

Marni is a distinctive name in Italian fashion.  Started by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994, Marni has its own fashion label, as well as supplying fine fur components to other upscale designers.  The Marni line is defined by research, innovation, and the highest standard in tailoring--all done in-house.

Each year Marni adds to their Hippie Chic collection, and has a unique philosophy with regard to this line.  While other designers attempt to have as much variety as possible among different seasons, Marni wants customers to be able to mix and match components from the Hippie Chic collection of any year.  Earthy colors and design elements inspired by nature make the Hippie Chic collection one of Marni's most popular; recent additions to this collection include peacock feathers and colors inspired by this stunning plumage.

Marni has women's, men's, and children's lines.  They also offer shoes, handbags, and accessories.  Many of their handbags feature intricate and unique detailing.  For example, their Hobo net bag features leather combined with a crochet appliqué that is accented with pendants and rings.  Other handbags use classic patterns such as black and gold brocade to fashion an elegant yet modern design.

There is as much variety in Marni shoes as there is in the other areas of the fashion line.  For instance, stylish yet demure women's flat shoes and flashy rubber sandals can both be found in their collections.  Among the other styles available are slingbacks, wedges, stilettos, and pumps that can complete any collection.
