~Mar-Crest Daisy Dot Stoneware~

This mid-20th century line of stoneware is officially called the Pennsylvania Dutch pattern, but it is more commonly referred to as Daisy Dot by collectors.   Dot and Daisy is also used.  However, Daisy Dot is the most popular.  There is also a preference of Marcrest over Mar-Crest.  Either one is correct. If you are listing to sell on eBay, use the phrasing Marcrest Daisy Dot to reach the maximum number of potential buyers.

Warm Colorado Brown is the most popular & readily available color of Daisy Dot available.  However, beginning collectors would be excited to know that there are a few Rare Pastel pieces that exist.  TIP: When searching sales, shops, auctions, etc....keep an eye out for solid pastels or brown with a pastel interior.  If acquired at a reasonable price, you can almost guarantee a profitable sale on eBay.  The same applies to Square Marcrest Daisy Dot.  Square bowls and large or small square handled skillets (as pictured below) are highly sought after.  Pie plates command attention, as well.  Several pieces are completely unmarked or just have USA on them.  If you have questions about authenticity or would like an appraisal or estimate for a starting bid, feel free to contact me through eBay.  This would just be my input, NOT a solicitation, only genuine helpfulness.
