Mandisa Hundley - 2006 American Idol Finalist Mandisa!!

Mandisa Hundley - known only as Mandisa on American Idol - is now in the top 20 contestants on season 5 of American Idol. Mandisa has had a strange trip to the top 20 as her first audition was best known for Simon's remarks about her weight problems - proclaiming that American Idol needs to invest in a larger stage. All weight and jokes aside - Mandisa has a remarkably powerful voice and has great control. I suspec that she will cruise toward the top 10 and be a threat as each week progresses... At 29, Mandisa is one of the oldest contestants and more mature than most.

Feb. 20th Mandisa Update

Fox posted their Mandisa factoids - the night before the first week of voting begins (Tuesday is the women's competition, Wednesday is the men's, and Thursday is the voting). Below are the Mandisa facts from Fox:

February 28th Update for Mandisa

Mandisa rocked the house with "Cry" last night and blew the judges away... leading Simon to proclaim that Mandisa is the best female vocalist this season (strong prasie considering Paris had already performed!). While Mandisa dressed like a 'cabaret' performer (according to Simon) - she was brilliant and her song choice was right on. There is no chance that Mandisa doesn't progress towards next week.
