    Let's start with the basics. There are so many different styles and attributes of lingerie that it's OK do not know a chemise from a teddy.  This short dictionary might help you to better understand what is it that you're searching for:

Lingerie Styles Dictionary

    Demi Bra:                 Underwired bra also known as balconette bra. Half-cup style usually providing support through bonning or set wider apart bra straps. Perfect choice for wearing with low-cut dress or top.

    Peek a Boo Bra set:  Bra that has vertical slits in the center of the cup, at the nipple level, that optionally can be open or closed. Usually adorned with ribbons, bows or flowers. When open, exposes the nipple. Sometimes come with a matching panties that has frontal and / or back slit.

    Bodysuit:                  Lingerie item that is similar to leotard. Combines the panties and the top into one snug fitting piece. May or may not have sleeves. Comes in regular or crotchless styles and variety of fabric. Very popular in sheer lace.

    Bikini:                      High cut, rest-below-the-navel type of panties or medium to minimum coverage 2pcs set of bra and panty swimsuit. Often both bra and panty have string ties.

    Crotchless Panties:  Panties with a slit-open crotch or no crotch at all where front and back panels are connected by 1 or 2 strings.

    Thong Panties:        Panty with very thin back panel that begins as a "V" shape at the derriere and narrows down to a strap that sits in-between the buttocks. Very popular type of panties, especially at summer time. Greatly useful for avoiding visible panty lines under fitted or sheer clothes.

    G-Strings:                 Kind of thong panties with front panel only, while the rest consists of strings. Leaves the buttocks completely exposed. 

    Boyshorts:                Also called booty short or boyleg briefs named so for their similarity to men's shorts. Usually has low rise (from the hip) style and covers most of the buttocks area. Very useful under the skirt or with tight pants as they avoid displaying a visible panty line. Come in great variety, from the simple cotton ones all they up to an expensive soft lace.

     French Knickers:    Knickers is a popular British word refers for women's underwear hipster (worn from the hip) style. They cover the hip, part of the upper thigh and part of the buttocks. French knickers are luxury hipster panties made of lace and silk.

    Bloomers:                  Variation of pantalettes, womens knee-length baggy pants worn under the skirt or dress. Modern bloomers can reach knee length or leave the legs fully exposed. Usually adorned with ruffles, lace and bows. Historically white or cream in color, modern bloomers come in a wide variety of colors, including poplar black.

    One Size (O/S):          Refers to an item that can fit range of sizes, mostly due to the stretching quality of the fabric or loose fit. Usually "one size" lingerie item best suits sizes S and M, overage height and weight.

    Plus Size (P/S):          Refers to size XL and up.
