Always wonder how they make those paper bag scrapbooks?
Here's how I learned.......
You'll need:
- Small lunch-size paper bags
- Punch tool, hammer and setting mat (Comes in the eyelet tool setter kit)
- Ribbon of your choice
- Hold 3-4 lunch sacks together and then fold in half
- You can now sew across all the bags at once...sewing an inch in from the "spine" if desired. (not mandatory if you don't sew)
- Measure and mark where you want to make the holes across the "spine" (How many holes depends on how many ribbons you want to hold your book together with)
- Using your Punch Tool hammer the holes across the spine.
- Thread your ribbons through the holes and tie, knot or bow
- If you would like to make a ribbon closure, cut two pieces of ribbon equal lengths, (long enough to tie a bow) glue or sew one ribbon in the middle of the top page of the scrapbook and one on the back page of the scrapbook.
- Decorate your paperbag scrapbook using paper cut to size and lots of pretty embellishments...you are only limited by your imagination...go wild!
It's so fun to make tags and slip them inbetween the sacks...the slots are already there for you!
Be Creative and have fun!
These are perfect for your children's school year pictures....use one page for each year of your child's grade....by the end of Elementary School, it will be full! What a keepsake!
Makes a great gift idea for...
- Teachers
- Mothers
- Daughters
- Grandmothers
- Mothers to be
- Brides
- Coaches
- Birthday parties
Here's some I made for Mother's Day last year.....

Please note:
Eyelet setter tool sets are wonderful to own...you can use them for all sorts of projects. Memory Maker makes a great set!
The number of bags depends on how many pages you want in your paper bag scrapbook.
Buying a small children's sewing machine works great if you don't own an expensive machine.
