All of our feather angel wings are hand made in mass quantity.  There are more than 30 procedures involved, to simplify, from buying feathers and marabou, cleansing, bleaching, dying, drying, separating different types and lengths of feathers, separating left curved from right curved feather, making cardboard base, shaping and applying iron wires, covering feathers front and back side with glue, drying again front and back side, applying elastic straps, folding them (if necessary) for shipment.  Sounds complicated?  That's why we produce them on a massive scale, to lower costs across the board.

So, feathers are fragile in nature and wings are non-durable goods.  Know the following, so when you purchase wings, you have proper expectations for them.

Natural feathers - imperfections in feathers exist

Applied by glue - easy detachment of feathers and marabou, feathers reacted to glue then dried may cause shades to slightly change

Cardboard base - has to be hard enough to define the wings shape yet soft enough to be bent, possible showing on the side or beneath because feathers are semi-transparent.  Best way to avoid showing the cardboard in a picture is not to shoot against lights and have a dark background to avoid lights from reflecting back.

So, why the heck we go through so much trouble to make a pair of angel wings, where buyers yell "heck, your feathers fall like crazy", "the feathers look bristle", "cardboard is showing", so why!
