Poppets

As a practitioner I find that creating your very own Poppet is very beneficiary and extremely personal hence purchasing the traditional voodoo doll.
When creating a poppet it is best to create it to look like the person in question. As a matter of fact it is very important to make it look as similar to the person in question as possible.
Now let me share some things with you in this guide. I believe it will help a lot of people because one thing is certain. Practitioners SHOULD NOT be all about the money, at least they are not supposed to be. When I sell an item, make an item for a client  such as a spell kit, oil, powder, herb mix, or gather ingredients for a candle spell, I charge only for the ingredients. What ever it cost me to put it together is what I charge the client. I do not perform spells for anyone other than myself, my family members and close personal friends. I will also get in to revenge spells, darker side of witchcraft a bit later in another guide as well. But for now it's all about the poppet.
First it is important to stress that you can walk in to any dollar store, toy store and buy a doll. Person in question has brown hair? Get a doll with brown hair, blue eyes brown hair? Great buy a dolly with those traits or if you can not find a doll with a certain hair color and eye color to match use paint to make the eyes the proper color, person in question has short brown hair? Cut the dolls hair to the length of the person in question. Person has glasses? Draw them on the doll, has specific marks or tattoos? Draw them on the doll. Ok the person in question has big hips, no problem get some molding clay and make bigger hips, chest sagging to the waist? Again not a problem, take the clay and sculpt away!! Person in question dress a certain way? Hit the Barbie isle my friends, sure you will find something. This is my point, make the poppet as similar to the person, every mark, every scar, every tattoo, freckles, fat, skinny, blonde hair brown hair, eyebrow ring, favorite perfume, jewelry.......creativity is not only the matrix from which all magic flows, it's also the stuff that nurtures the child in each and every one of us and encourages it to have fun. And all the while you create the poppet, your energy will be flowing my friends right in to your creation.
Ok so now you made your poppet, now ask yourself how do you intend to use it?
Now I will leave that for you to figure out, but I will also add the fact that you can actually stuff your dolly with herbs and oils in the body cavities, or write an intent down to make the person in question have that thought lay heavily on their mind. So much fun :)
I love being a practitioner of the craft, I love to guide and teach people to many simple solutions and creations that they themselves can do on their own.
