Jordan Almonds are the classic wedding candy. Why not make your own Jordan Almond Flowers. Jordan Almond flowers are a unique and elegant way of including the jordan almond theme in your wedding.
Jordan almonds have long been the traditional wedding candy. The bittersweet combination of almonds and sugar coating represents the bittersweet of marriage. Jordan almonds are many times used in odd numbers, representing indivisibility and the wish the marriage will not be divided.
The Jordan Almond Flower uses five jordan almonds. Each jordan almond represents, health, wealth, happiness, long life, and fertility.
To make your own Jordan Almond Flowers you will need almonds holders, rose leaves, stamens, floral tape, ribbon, and jordan almonds. Make your own Kits are available.
Some helpful tools: cutting mat, scissors, and cutting knife
Instructions:
Step 1: Fold the almond holder by pinching wire in the middle of the leaf over the jordan almond. Make five. Pinch the wire from the middle and bottom of the leaf.
Step 2: Group together five stamens and fold in half. With floral tape, wrap the stamens together abouth half way up so the stamens are loose at the top. Again, with floral tape, tape the stamen bunch to one of the jordan almond holders. Bend the almond holder down to the side so that the stamens will be higher than the holder. The stamen bunch will end up in the middle of the flower.
Step 3: Place the remaining four almond holders around the first with the stames, making sure all the holders face the same direction. Twist the wire stems together and wrap with floral tape at the base of the holders.
Step 4: Place two rose leaves at the base on opposite sides of the flower. Twist the rose leaves wire together with the almond holders and wrap with floral tape.
Step 5: Cut ribbon 12-15" long, and tie around stem.
You can be as creative as you are making your own Jordan Almond Flowers. Floral accents matching your wedding theme can be added to the center. You can add a Favor Tag with the jordan almond poem and personalize with your names and wedding date.
