Making Your Own Chipboard Letters or Shapes
1) Select a font size from your computer's word program and print an extra large letter on to regular white paper. You can select any size you want or type. The letter used here was a 150 pts in size. Remember different fonts are different sizes. Practice.
2. Cut your letter out and here this on to a piece of chipboard and use sharp scissors and then cut it out.
3. Remove the paper from the chipboard and glue the chipboard letter wrong side up on your favorite patterned paper/cardstock, textured or embossed cardstock. Then cut it out.
4. When cutting out the letter it will be a little rough around the edges since you hand cut it out. Use sandpaper or sanding block to smooth the edges.
5. You can make any size letter that you want. The ideas are endless.
Another useful idea is your Sizzix Machine. It will cut through the thinner Chipboard very easily. You will have shapes in not time flat.
Make Clear Plastic Ghost Letters or Shapes with by using you Sizzix. You know those in-expensive clear paper holders that are 12x12 Cut your letters or shape out of those. Use the colored ones for color letters. These are safe to store your papers so they will be safe to make your die cuts.
