I don't know about you but my 3 year old princess isn't the normal kid. To run into a store and buy some corny kids cd with nursery rhymes just doesn't cut it and when I was growing up I remember certain songs that weren't in the norm either but that she would enjoy such as "Yellow submarine.""Shake it up baby"etc.

So I got to thinking how can I make something for her that has her level of education stuff on it and current stuff and some of good oldies stuff from when I was little.So every year I have made my daughter a custom cd. All you do is subscribe to a music download place of your choice. Mine charges .99 cents for a song download the songs you like for as many minutes is on a cd like mine I get 80 minutes.Burn them all on a cd.Make more than one copy they'll want one to wiggle to in the car.

Depending on the length you can get a couple or this last one I made I got 30 songs on. Last year it was mostly barney, wiggles etc. but I also got to throw in some new fun ones "I got the runny nose blues" I go to my favorite music site type in childrens music and pick my favorites from assorted stuff." Do you ears hang low" "Peanut butter and Jelly","milkshake", new ones and "whip it ", "pop music", "don't bring me down" old ones it never gets boring. I can even shamefully admit I have" I like big butts" on one cause show me a parent with a kid who doesn't think that's funny and I'll faint ,they love it.

But the cool thing is I have found some very loving and touching ones to add also. There is no end the memories , fun, laughter and dancing. The last cd I had started out bouncy and crazy "shake your bon bon" "who let the dogs out""Black horse and the cherry tree"and went to more kid stuff barney and by the end of it it was lullabyes and the last song was "You are so beautiful to me."

I have MS and am a cancer survivor so not only am I providing her with entertainment ,  and music to sleep by but when I burn these onto a cd I know I am recording a piece of me to leave for her also if anything should happen for instance I often sing love me tender to her at night while tucking her in, this is on her  new cd and now she sings it to me and someday I hope she will sing it to her children.
