Ebay allows 55 characters in your title when you need to sell an item so you might as well use it all up. Why? So when people are searching for your item, they can find it easier. Below are some tips.
Tips:
Tips:
- Try to use up all 55 characters with the name and description of your product.
- Use descriptive keywords that clearly convey what you are selling.
- Include the brand name, artist, or designer.
- State exactly what your item is, even if your title repeats the category name.
- Look at other titles of the same product and you might find an important word or words you left out.
- Don't waste an extra character by adding a letter "s" to the end of a word. For example, put CD instead of CDs, or DVD instead of DVDs because ebay searches both single and plurar forms of most words.
- You could also add duplicate words like "200 GB" just incase someone searches that instead of "200GB", or "T-Shirt" and "Tshirt".
- Abbreviate words if you need more space:
- extra - xtra
- warranty - wrty or wrt
- no reserve - nr
- new with tags - nwt
- new in box - nib
- pack - pk
- quart - qt
- size - sz
- small/medium/large - s/m/l
- piece - pc
- hard drive - hd or hdd (hard disk drive)
- personal computer - pc
- notebook - laptop
- secure digital - sd
- compact flash - cf
- month - m or mnth
- year - y or yr
