Hi, my name’s Des and I have my own offline window and carpet cleaning business. I’m basically an ordinary Joe like anyone else out there. The only difference between me and most people is I make the majority of my income online. You see, I now employ people to carry out the cleaning for me which means I just look after the administration part time. I used to be out in the morning from about 9am to 12pm window cleaning and do a bit of carpet cleaning at the weekends if I felt like it. With my two guys to do all of the cleaning now leaves me more time to build my eBay business.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not one of those guru millionaires that’s gonna tell you that I make a million pounds a week, get up at 10am, have breakfast, make a couple thousand pounds while the kettles boiling and have made a hundred thousand pounds by tea/dinner time.
You’ve probably heard enough of these get rich quick type stories to last a life time. I know I have. No, what I’m going to show you is how I have 1 part time job which I love very much and now just look after the admin and how I also make a decent living online. The only difference is one of them is on complete autopilot.

How you can produce your own eBook?
I was in two minds whether to write this article but I reckon 95% of people won’t do the things I’m teaching anyway. That’s fine. Just remember, you can start or take up what I’m teaching you in your own time and at your own pace. It took me 6 months before I gave myself a kick up the bum and started to take action! I now earn more money selling ebooks on ebay than I could have ever dreamed of and would like to teach others how I did it.
Write about what you know
The best place to start is to try writing about something that you are knowledgeable and passionate about. It’s a lot easier to write about what you know than what you don’t know. (Sorry to state the obvious).
This isn’t to say that this is the best topic in order to make money. What I’m simply saying is that it’ll be great practice to get you used to writing and structuring your ebook. I’ve placed a few links to further reading in the resource page.
When I started, I was writing about lettings, tenants, carpet cleaning and window cleaning, basically, things that I knew. Not huge markets to try and sell ebooks to, but it was a start and it allowed me to hone the techniques needed to be a successful writer. Though, I’ve got to say, my window cleaning toolkit (UK only I'm affraid) brings in over $400 per month from ebay and my own website alone. Bear in mind this was the first product that I’d written myself and it still brings in a good income.
Granted, this took me around 8 weeks to write and edit, but I now have a nice little income stream that will probably make me money for several years to come. There are some days where I make $50 just from this product alone.
A note of caution!
Information that is both time sensitive or subjects that regularly change from day to day I’d stay clear of. For example, you may be a whiz on search engine optimization (getting websites to the top of search engines like Google) and feel that the world should know the best ways to achieve this. That’s fine, but please bear in mind, search engine algorithms change daily and your new ebook may be out of date by the time you’ve even put it up for sale. Be careful.
I’ve seen some people spend months on a project only to find out that their subject matter had literally expired. A waste of time really.
Information that satisfies an immediate need
I’ve noticed that cookery and recipe ebooks sell really well. Extremely competitive since there are so many out there, nevertheless, a good place to start if you’re a talented cook with your own super duper recipes!
Do Your Research
Yep, I know, you’re exited and you feel like a caged animal just waiting to put your creative talents to use. Wait. Don’t start typing away just yet until you’ve done some basic research. Ask yourself the question.
Will people be willing to pay for the information you’re about to present?
Is it actually readily available anywhere else? If it is, don’t stress. You may even be able to find a sub niche on this subject.
The most important tip I can give you is get started. So many people dream about having their online business. You just need to start applying yourself like I did. It won't be easy, since everyone would be doing it. But you won't find a greater opportunity to start your own business working from home selling info products on eBay.

EBooks, (Electronic Books) are, without a shadow of a doubt the world’s best selling items on eBay. Forget your PSP’s, Nintendo Wii’s and Granny’s 90 year old doll that’s been in the attic forever. EBooks continually outsell all of these items and win the race hands down.
EBooks are simply one of the best online business ideas that exist today. You can create an eBook for next to nothing and sell it for almost 100% profit!
