A Wedding is truly the most treasured memory of a lifetime and for more generations to come. Why not preserve your memories in a keepsake album to be viewed over and over again and even by the next generation. I love to make scrapbooks and have done a few Wedding albums for my friends who have won at love and left their wedding pictures in a box. Here are some guidelines to get those beautiful wedding photos into an album.
- Accumulate paper, stickers and other embellishments in the same colors that were used in the wedding. Accent with gold and/or silver wedding scrapbook supplies.
- Begin the first page as a replica of the wedding invitation. Title the page "Our Wedding" and include the the date, time and location in long spelled out writing as in an invitation. Use wedding bell stickers, a church or other memorabilia at the top or bottom of the page. Use only one sticker, sometimes less is more.
- Put the album pages together (like chapters in a book) from start to finish in the same manner as the wedding photographs were taken. Here are some page toppers (chapters) from start to finishing the album:
- Getting Ready
- Here Comes the Bride (photos of the Wedding Ceremony)
- Invited Guests (photos of Family and Friends at the wedding)
- The Wedding Party (posed pictures)
- The Reception, Party Time (use some glitzy party stickers to combine with photos taken during the reception)
- Gifted - Accent photos of gifts with gift stickers, ribbons and layout pages that look like a gift.
- Traditions (first dance, father daughter dance, toast, cutting the cake, toss the bouquet, the garter belt)
- Just Married (photo in or around the Limousine)
- The Honeymoon (mix these photos with appropriate vacation themed embellishments)
- If their was a particular song reminiscent of your wedding then go online to find the lyrics then copy and print the lyrics for inclusion in your album.
Add additional volumes or chapters to your wedding album collection if you have tons of pictures. These volumes may include bridal shower, rehearsals, anniversary photos, and or other flat memorabilia about your wedding like all those cards and well wishes. You could even use lined scrapbook paper for your guest reception book where people sign in or give your guest journaling cards to write something for inclusion in your album as well wishes.
If you hired a professional photographer, use your proofs to make an album. You can scan them for additional copies to crop or enlarge.
An album makes a great gift. Make smaller versions to give as gifts for the Mother of the Bride (and/or Groom) and for the bridesmaids.
Celebrate your life and enjoy your wedding experience over and over again by flipping through your wedding album.
