Designed with simplicity in mind, the FE-230 is loaded with features that will help you capture fantastic images and movies even if you have never before used a digital camera.

Its one-touch design puts camera features at your fingertips. Individual buttons help you shoot, review, and delete your images without ever accessing a menu. You’ll also have quick access to flash, exposure, and macro settings, a self-timer, and zoom controls.

Let the built-in Shooting Guide show you what features to use in various situations; it will automatically adjust the settings for you. As you become more familiar with the features and options available on this model, you can use the convenient mode dial to choose your preferred shooting modes. There are 19 shooting modes in all, including three underwater scenes*, and each is optimized to help you get the best possible results for the shooting conditions.

The Digital Image Stabilization shooting mode minimizes or eliminates the effects of blurring caused by camera shake or moving subjects. The Digital Image Stabilization Edit function can correct blurry images right in the camera.

The FE-230 sports a 6.0-megapixel CCD and a 12x seamless zoom (3x optical, 4x digital). When using this model with the included Olympus Master software and Olympus brand xD-Picture Card flash memory media (sold separately), you can create stunning panoramic images. An on-screen Panorama target mark helps you to compose your shots.

Sharing your masterpieces is easy. The FE-230 is PictBridge-enabled for direct-from-the-camera printing. You can also use the included USB cable to transfer images to your computer and e-mail them to friends and family. The new My Favorites feature lets you keep up to nine of your favorite shots in the camera’s memory for convenient reference even after you transfer or delete the original digital files.

*The FE 230 is not waterproof. When using this model for underwater photography, the PT-038 underwater Housing (sold seperately) is required.
