Madden 2007 is almost identical to madden 2006 . This guide will help you become a basic winning machine against your friends and also the computer .

First off I truly don't know where to start I have so much helpful information that I don't know what order to proceed with it in so bare with me as I try and explain and help in any way possible to be a winning machine .

Superstar mode .

Now if you want to create and enjoy superstar mode it is easier to be an offensive player than a defensive player in this mode . So for you first timer's out there I recomend becoming a QB . Find a decent set of parent's with average or above average IQ's so your awareness is up there and have a father or mother with some sort of athletic expierience , such as High school coach or worlds fastest man all this will help your Qb start off with better speed or Throwing power , I've noticed that most QB's have decent throwing power and lack accuracy but this can be flip flopped and also changed .

Now that you have your Qb created make his fat low and muscle high and overall medium and tweek the others to get your appearence bar in the yellowish zone . You will be able to make his appearence topped out when you choose his add on's such as a revolution helmet and mouth piece things such as that this is common sense but just stating it anyways .

Now the key to superstar mode is that you cannot choose your own plays which sucks but you can choose your audible's which is where making your superstar is better quicker . Now to me the perfect playbook is S.F. 49ers offensive playbook . You can choose whatever playbook you'd like even though you may be drafted by a different team . So go to your rookie blue book choose audibles and choose an I form formation where both recievers on the outside cut back and stand there after 10 yards. The specific play name for this in the 49ers playbook is called ' WR option  ' set that as your audible 'X' set your audible 'A' to the play called 'FL hook' under the I formation playbook as well . Now for your Audible ' B ' set it as 'PA misdirection' now this PA misdirection play is the perfect play to throw to your TE but for better odds for a completion hike the ball wait a second and hold his button down to dart the ball to him and hold it towards the outside right of him 9 time out of ten he will catch it for 15+ yards and a perfect touchdown play as well . You may have to tinker with this play a little bit to understand how it works almost everytime in almost any coverage . Also you need a decent TE rated above at least 85 for this to be the perfect play for you .

Now goign back to the previous auibles FL hook and WR option , they are almost identical plays but they will get you constant first downs and beat out the coverage almost every single time , the only coverages you ave to worry about messing this up are the cover 2 which it still threads the needle anyways and the quarter defense thats why if your reciever looks to well covered pass it to the flats to the FB or RB because if the WR are so well covered that means the FB or Rb is free trust me . These plays take a little tinkering to understand how they work but just hike the ball look straight at your left reciever wait till he cuts back and dart it straight at him and Bam you have at least 9 + yards .

Now the whole thing with me telling you to choose and use these audibles is when the coach chooses a crappy passing play or you just don't want to run the ball as much as the coach does , get to the line choose one of these audibles hike the ball and exicute the play and bam your superstar QB starts going up in points like crazy I average with a QB superstar at least 150 points per game and have gotten over 250 in a game before.

If you choose any different offensive superstar learn some guaranteed audibles such as these so you can have an awesome scoring machine .

Regular Gamplay with friends or in Franchise mode .

If you read the section about the audibles above you will understand how to pick apart your friends and you must understand the best reciever cannot go long every single time and the more you go long the more you offer the ball for interceptions and incompletions . So I beg of you stop cheap gameplay and learn some plays that are gauranteed and take a little practice and timing because once you learn the timing and effectivenes of these cutback plays you will be able to tear anyone in front of you apart .

Now this year Madden it almost seems has made the bomb easier but you must have a QB with an arm on him and a WR with some speed , stay in the pocket hike the ball give it a few seconds and just tap the recievers button the reciever should be able to burn all CB's but the safety's you have to watch out for you can and will be able to burn them . This is pretty much common sense but just putting it out there in my observations .

One key thing to madden is running the ball , do not be a person who just passes liek crazy , now if your QB is hot and the defense is weak play your throwing to the max but learn to run and learn to run the plays your good at . Just because a running play says to run up the middle doesn't mean you have to run it up the gut alot of times a gut running play if you take the ball and run to the outside of the tackle and guard you will have some success in gaining some yards . A running play designed to hook all the way around the CB is less likely to work some of the best running play's in the game are cut back plays where the RB fakes to the left and runs to the right , take this play and run it to the outside you will gain most your yards out of these plays and make the defense play less passing coverages .

This is all I can truly offer you on the offensive side of the ball find a playbook you like with a decent team and use these strategy's to your full advantage I have not been beaten in 3 years on head to head play because of this and also hold a 70% win record on Xbox Live .

Defensive Play

This is what wins your games right here you can score 45 points a game but it means nothing if they're outscoring you .

If your oppenent is a passing maniac use the cover 2 and cover 3 options in any defensive book . If he is breaking these cover 2 and cover 3's by using the soft spots past the outside Cb and the safety blitz the CB on whatever side his tight end is not on or just blitz the CB and use press coverage the CB gets into the pocket faster . But do not over blitz your CB but use it aggresively untill it starts working or stops working . If you know for a fact or are 80% sure he is going to pass it the next play use the quarter defense and drop the CB's into deeper coverage , trust me interceptions will come you way and win the game for you .

Linebacker's don't truly stand out liek they should in madden and never have so leave them to watch the QB or drop into a medium coverage to guard against the run and also prevent a running QB from getting major yards .

Do not be afraid to pull an all out engage eight blitz from time to time but this will be most effective if 1. your lineman have been getting through the line from time to time , some offensive lines are horribly tough to penetrate so be aware of this and use a little more CB blitz's and such .

I use alot of the dime and nickle books in my defensive but the reason i can do this because my offense is producing and my defense is giving up minimum yards , you must understand offenses will blow your defense away every so often , but stick to a game plan and do it and master it and don't play off the wall everytime you play madden and you will beat most and all everyone .

QB On Target card
Enter "WROA0R" as a code to get the QB On Target card. This card makes your Quarterback have 100% accuracy for one half.

Mistake Free card
Enter "XL7SP1" as a code to get the Mistake Free card. This card makes it impossible for you to throw an interception or fumble the ball for one half.

Lame Duck card
Enter "5LAWO0" as a code to get the Lame Duck card. This card forces your opponent to throw nothing but lob passes for one half, which allows the defense more time to react to the ball, and leads to more deflections and interceptions.

Use Performance Institute more than once per week in Hall Of Fame mode

Use the Performance Institute on the day of a game. Save the game to a memory card, then remove the memory card. Next, simulate the game, then exit the game without saving. Insert the memory card back in and load your superstar. You will be able to use the Performance Institute again while still retaining the benefits gained from the last time you used it. Repeat this process as many times as desired to raise all Performance Institute stats. 

Better agent in Superstar mode

Answer the interview questions as a team player. Then when you hire an agent, more of them will want to sign with you.

Better running

When running the ball, the Highlight Stick is the best way to beat a defender in the open field. Press Up on the Highlight Stick to cause the ball carrier to play to their strengths and attempt to either power through or quickly shake past the defender. Press Left, Right, or Down on the Highlight Stick to make the ball carrier do a quick juke move in the specified direction. These moves are great for keeping your opponent guessing.

Cut Moves (L and R) are a quick way to change the direction of the ball carrier without having to lose too much speed. If you are running in a certain direction and the defense is closing in, cutting in a different direction can be a good way to get past the defenders. These moves are best done by quicker running backs with high agility ratings.

When the running back has the ball in the backfield, you can use the Cut Moves (L and R) to get through the holes in the offensive line. These moves are called Behind the Line Jukes, and they can only be performed when the ball carrier is approaching the offensive line. These moves allow the ball carrier to turn his hips and squeeze through small holes in the offensive line that normally he would not be able to get through.
